In the increasingly connected world of virtual reality, AppVR stands out as a technological vanguard designed to offer an unprecedented immersive historical experience. Available for the Oculus Quest headset, it offers a direct and personalized experience.

Upon starting, AppVR greets users with an intuitive interface that allows them to choose between different languages: Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish. Once the language is set, users can choose to either explore the majesty of a Cathedral in a well-defined historical era or venture to the top of the Bell Tower, each option loaded with detailed and historically accurate reconstructions.

The 3D models, with highly accurate details, are provided by the client and include not only the buildings but also the surrounding environment, such as the site of Santa Maria dei Greci, virtually reconstructed. The entire experience is made even more realistic with the application of textures corresponding to various historical eras: from Norman to Chiaramontana, from Renaissance to Baroque.

Users navigate this 3D world through a teleportation system. This method not only facilitates exploration but enhances immersion, made even deeper by dynamic audio that varies depending on the position in the virtual world.

This extraordinary technology not only makes history accessible but brings it directly to the observer’s eyes, allowing them to experience moments that were fundamental in the formation of our cultures and civilizations. AppVR represents a bridge between the past and the future of educational technology, offering a completely new way to learn and experience history.
